HSBC Multicultural Commercial Banking Annual Client “Celebration of Seasons” Dinner
HSBC has always prided itself on being the “Worlds Local Bank”, and for over 10 years HSBC’s Multicultural Asian Banking Commercial Centre in the West Midlands has specialised in serving the needs of businesses that have affinity with China, Hong Kong and South Asia.
Each year the West Midlands MCB unit host an annual “Celebrations of Seasons” programme to thank their valued clients for their business. The event includes a cocktail reception, speeches from various dignitaries and HSBC’s heads of commercial centres and a four course dinner and dance. In 2008 Meji Events were event co-ordinators for the occasion.
To ensure a successful outcome it was necessary that we understood the requirements our client (HSBC MCB Unit) and also that of their clients. We attended a number of meetings with the Head of the HSBC Commercial centre and other members of the team to gain an appreciation of what they wanted from the celebration and offer advice on the running of the event. We put together a plan of action and re-drafted accordingly before the event so that each person involved was aware of their specific roles.
It was essential that Meji Events took full control of the event to enable the HSBC staff to mingle with their clients. We contacted all of the suppliers prior to the event, ensuring they were aware of their roles and timings. Furthermore we co-ordinated all of proceedings at the event from set up of the room, sound and lighting and entertainment; right through to serving of dinner ensuring that it did not to interfere with speeches and performances.
HSBC were especially pleased with the evening describing it as a "great success" and wrote to us saying "Meji Media's input was invaluable in ensuring the smooth running of the evenings. We were able to have peace of mind knowing that you were there to co-ordinate the evening".
